Adding an exclusion for a traffic processing rule
To add an exclusion for a traffic processing rule:
- In the application web interface window, select one of the following sections:
- for global rules, the Rules section;
- for workspace rules, the Workspaces section.
- If you added a workspace, select one of the following tabs:
- Before workspace rules.
- After workspace rules.
- Select a group of traffic processing rules from the following lists:
- Access groups to add an exclusion for an access rule.
- Protection groups to add an exclusion for a protection rule.
The traffic processing rules table opens.
- Select the traffic processing rule for which you want to add an exclusion.
This opens a window containing information about the rule.
- Click Edit.
- Select the Exclusions tab.
- Click Add exclusion.
The Exclusion exclusion settings group is displayed.
- Add the initiator of the connection. To do so, click .
- Configure the following settings:
- Select one of the following options in the Initiator drop-down list:
- User name.
- User group.
- User DN.
- IP address.
- User agent.
- In the field to the right of the drop-down list, enter the value for the selected setting.
- If you want to add a new connection initiator, repeat the steps to add a connection initiator.
- Add a traffic filter. To do so, click .
- Configure the following settings:
- Select one of the following options in the Traffic filter drop-down list:
- Category.
- URL.
- File name.
- File type.
- File size, KB.
- MIME Type.
- MD5.
- SHA2.
- Traffic direction.
- In the field to the right of the drop-down list, enter the value for the selected setting.
- If you want to add a new traffic filter, repeat the steps to add a traffic filter.
- Click Save.
The exclusion for the traffic processing rule is added.
