Exporting and importing settings

You can export Kaspersky Web Traffic Security settings for subsequent import. This feature can be used for backup of application settings. If the Master server fails, you will be able to import the exported settings after reinstalling the application.

You can also use export and import of settings to create identical application configurations on different servers (for example, for rapid deployment of Kaspersky Web Traffic Security to a new server).

Exporting the settings creates a configuration file with the following information:

• Global application settings:
  • protection and access rules that do not belong to workspaces;
  • user roles and permissions;
  • user accounts that have global roles;
  • access denial page templates;
  • protection settings.
• Workspace settings:
  • criteria for assigning traffic to a workspace;
  • protection and access rules created as part of a workspace;
  • user roles relevant to all workspaces.

When importing a configuration file, you can select which settings to apply. Values of other settings are unchanged after the import is complete.
