ICAP server settings

Scanning traffic and managing access of users of your network to Internet resources requires filtering and modifying the data of HTTP messages (HTTP requests and HTTP responses). To do so, you need to configure integration of your proxy server with Kaspersky Web Traffic Security over the ICAP protocol:

• Configure the settings of the ICAP server in Kaspersky Web Traffic Security.

  A server implementing the ICAP protocol. This protocol allows filtering and modifying HTTP request and HTTP response data. For example, it can be used for virus scanning of the data, blocking spam, blocking access to personal resources. The ICAP client is usually a proxy server that interacts with the ICAP server over the ICAP protocol. Kaspersky Web Traffic Security receives data from the organization's proxy server after they are processed by the ICAP server.

• Configure your proxy server to send data to Kaspersky Web Traffic Security over the ICAP protocol.

In this integration, Kaspersky Web Traffic Security works as an ICAP server, and your proxy server works as an ICAP client.

Settings configured on your proxy server must match the settings of Kaspersky Web Traffic Security.
