Changing the role of the server

You can assign the Secondary master server role to the Master server or assign the Master server role to the Secondary master server. It can be necessary for example if the Master server fails or if the application has to be deleted from that server. The roles of Worker servers cannot be changed.

To assign the Secondary master server role to a Master server:

1. In the application web interface window, select Servers.
2. In the server table, select the Master server.

   The server settings window opens.

3. Click Change role.

The Master server becomes a Secondary master server.

To assign the Master server role to the Secondary master server:

1. In the application web interface window, select Servers.
2. In the server table, select the Secondary master server.

   The server settings window opens.

3. Click Go to manage server.

   Authorization page opens in a new browser window.

4. Enter the name and password of the application administrator.

   The Secondary master server information window opens.

5. Click Change role to Master server.

   A confirmation window opens.

6. Click Yes.

The Secondary master server becomes the Master server.
