Configuring event log parameters

Configuration of event storage duration and the level of logging must account for available disk space on servers hosting the application.

Event log parameters do not affect the settings of event logging over Syslog.

To configure event log settings:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the Settings section, Events subsection.
  2. In the Traffic settings group:
    1. In the Log traffic processing events drop-down list, select types of traffic processing events to be logged. You can select one of the following options:
      • all;
      • subject to Block/Redirect actions;
      • none.
    2. In the Maximum event log size (MB) text box, specify the threshold for the size of event log after which old records are deleted.
    3. In the Logging period (days) box, specify the number of days the application must save network traffic processing events on the server.
  3. In the KATA settings group:
    1. In the Maximum event log size (MB) text box, specify the threshold for the size of event log after which old records are deleted.
    2. In the Logging period (days) box, specify the number of days the application must save network traffic processing events on the server.
  4. In the System group, in the Maximum number of events text box, specify the number of Kaspersky Web Traffic Security event records after which older records are deleted.

Event log settings are configured.
