Providing a new activation code

Initial activation of Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response

Refer to these articles:

Entering a new activation code

You must provide a new activation code for Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response, for example, when you want to upgrade the solution or when you need to renew your expiring license.

This feature is only available if you have the Application integration access right set in Kaspersky Security Center Web Console or Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console.

For details on how to manage multiple licenses in Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response in Kaspersky Security Center with MDR Plug-in 2.4.2 and later, refer to this article: Managing licenses in Kaspersky Security Center.

You can renew the current license in the MDR Web Console if it expires soon. The MDR Administrator role is required.

If you have activated the MDR solution with an activation code, you must use the MDR Plug-in for Kaspersky Security Center to renew the license. Using the MDR Web Console for license renewal in this scenario stops telemetry from being sent from assets.

We recommend that you use the MDR Plug-in for Kaspersky Security Center to enter a new activation code.

To enter a new activation code for Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response in Kaspersky Security Center with MDR Plug-in:

  1. In the MDR section of Kaspersky Security Center, click the Licensing tab.
  2. Click the Enter a new activation code button and enter the activation code in the invoked panel.
  3. Select the tenants to which the users of this Administration Server will have access.

The new activation code is applied. Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response works under the license provided.

To replace the current activation code with a new one in MDR Web Console:

  1. Click the Licensing tab.
  2. Click the Enter a new activation code link.
  3. Enter a new activation code and click Continue.
  4. Select your region and click Confirm and activate.
