Applying a monitoring template to client devices

To apply a monitoring template to client devices:

  1. In SolarWinds RMM, in the Devices section, select the client or client site to which the required devices belong.
  2. Right-click the selected client or client site, and then select Apply Monitoring Template.
  3. Select the device type to which the template will be applied: Servers or Workstations.
  4. In the Available Templates list box, select the template that you created earlier, and then click the right arrow (˃). The template is shifted to the Selected Templates list.
  5. Click Apply to save the changes.
  6. In the confirmation window that opens, enter the password that you use to log in to SolarWinds RMM, and then click OK.
  7. In the notification window that opens, click OK.

The monitoring template is applied to the selected devices. The checks and tasks from the template are added to the lists of checks and tasks in the properties of each selected device. The checks and tasks are run according to the specified schedule.

Repeat the procedure to apply another template to devices.
