You configure deployment of Kaspersky security applications to client devices through a software installation task. You must first create and then run the task.
To create a Kaspersky security application installation task on client devices:
In SolarWinds RMM, in the Devices section, select the client or client site to which the required devices belong.
Right-click the selected client or client site, and then select Task → Add.
In the Add Automated Task window that opens, under Install / Remove Software, select Install software from a Server. Click Next to continue.
Select the type(s) of device on which the security application will be installed: servers, workstations, or both. Click Next to continue.
Configure the task parameters:
In the Descriptive Name field, enter the task name. You can enter any name that will help you distinguish the task among other tasks.
If the Kaspersky security application installation package is stored in a shared folder, in the Server User Name and Server Password fields enter the credentials of an account that you use to access the folder.
In the Remote File field, enter the full path to the installation package.
In the Local File field, enter the full path where you want to save the installation package on client devices.
In the Is EXE field, enter True. The installation package is an EXE file.
In the Command Line Arguments, enter -s. This will run the installation package in silent mode.
Configure other task parameters as you like.
Click Next to continue.
In the Select Frequency Method list, select Manual. Click Next to continue.
If you want, configure other task parameters. Click Next to continue.
In the displayed Add Task Device Confirmation window, select specific devices on which you want to create the installation task. By default, all devices are selected. Click Add Task to create the task.
In the displayed notification window, click OK.
The Kaspersky security application installation task is added to the selected devices.
To run a Kaspersky security application installation task on client devices:
In SolarWinds RMM, in the Devices section, select the client or client site to which the required devices belong.
Right-click the selected client or client site, and then select Task → Run.
Under Available Tasks, select the Kaspersky security application installation task that you want to run. Click Next to continue.
In the Run Task Device Confirmation window that opens, select specific devices on which you want to install the Kaspersky security application. By default, all devices are selected. Click Run Task to start installation.
In the notification window that opens, click OK.
The Kaspersky security application is installed on the selected devices.
