Getting prepared for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Lotus Domino installation

The application installer is a Lotus Notes database file.

Before installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Lotus Domino you should copy the installer database into the target server data folder, and sign it by an account that has the permissions to execute operations on the server.

InformationWe recommend that you sign the installation database with the target server account.

If you are going to install the application on several servers, you should have a copy of the signed database on each of them.

If you are going to install the application on an additional server, you can use an installation database already signed before the initial installation. Copy it from the initial server data folder.

WarningRestart the Domino server.

A user requires the following permissions to be able to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Lotus Domino:
  • create new files (on the file system security level);
  • sign or run unrestricted methods and operations;
  • at least Reader access to the server Address books.

If you are installing the application via the Lotus Notes client, you should first configure an actions control table at the workstation that will be used for connecting to the server.

You should grant the following access rights/permissions on the given workstation to the account that has signed the installation database:

Access rights:

  • File system;
  • External code;
  • Current database;
  • Environment variables;
  • External programs;
  • Non-Notes databases.

Permissions:

  • Send mail;
  • Read other databases;
  • Export data;
