The term of a Kaspersky Lab product renewal license is shorter than specified during purchase

When you activate a Kaspersky lab product with a renewal activation code, the application checks if a license for your Kaspersky Lab product has been activated on that computer before:

  • If the previous license has been found, the license is renewed for the correct term.
  • If the license is not found, for example in case you have never activated a Kaspersky Lab product with a purchased activation code, the application will ask you to enter the previous activation code. Select the check box Enter the previous activation code, type your old activation code and click  Register and continue.

If the code that you entered corresponds to your Kaspersky Lab product, the license will be renewed for the full period. You may encounter an error in the following cases:

  • Previous activation code is invalid.
  • Previous activation code is blocked.
  • Previous activation code not found.
  • Previous activation code cannot be used in a region where the license is being renewed. 
  • Previous activation code has already been used for license renewal.

Select the "I agree to decrease license validity period by ..." check box and click Register and continue.

The license term will be reduced.
