About developer tools and platform

KasperskyOS developer tools are a set of tools required for developing, building, and debugging software (for example, applications) for the KasperskyOS operating system. Using the developer tools, you can start developing applications for a specific KasperskyOS platform, which is the aggregation of an operating system, applications, and an interface that ensures interaction between the operating system and the applications installed in it.

Kaspersky Appicenter provides access to developer tools for platforms powered by KasperskyOS, along with a preconfigured set of applications. For instance, you can get developer tools for the Kaspersky IoT Secure Gateway cyberimmune platform, as well as KasperskyOS Community Edition which is a public version of KasperskyOS.

Developer tools include the following:

• A software development kit (SDK) is a set of software tools for creating applications based on KasperskyOS.

  For details on using the SDK, please refer to the SDK help linked in the Developer tools section of the relevant portal page.

• A development firmware image is an image required for debugging and testing applications for the corresponding KasperskyOS platform. You can install and run the image in an emulator or on a compatible hardware platform.
