When connecting an Android mobile device, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android is installed on the device. When connecting an iOS mobile device, either a device management profile or Kaspersky Security for iOS is installed on the device depending on the operating mode. When connecting an Aurora device, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Aurora is installed on the device.
After the device is connected to Kaspersky Security Center, corporate policies are applied to the device and it becomes managed.
The QR code used to connect devices to Kaspersky Security Center can be generated in the following ways:
The administrator can create QR codes in the MMC-based Administration Console and in Kaspersky Security Center Web Console for devices in any operating mode. For information on Android device and iOS device operating modes as well as information on creating QR codes in the MMC-based Administration Console and Kaspersky Security Center Web Console, refer to the Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management Help.
Corporate App Catalog users must have the Connect new devices right to connect their devices to Kaspersky Security Center via Corporate App Catalog.
Users can generate QR codes to connect personal Android devices, Android devices with a corporate container, and iOS MDM devices.
To connect a mobile device via Corporate App Catalog:
Corporate App Catalog starts creating the installation package for your device. Usually, Corporate App Catalog automatically detects the operating system of your mobile device. If not, specify the operating system of your device when prompted.
When finished, Corporate App Catalog displays a download link and a QR code containing a link for downloading the installation package. The QR code and link are valid for 24 hours.
The plus sign and the Connect new device link are available only if no installation packages have been created. To create a new installation package in Corporate App Catalog, delete all existing installation packages.
You can connect corporate Android devices and Aurora devices to Kaspersky Security Center only using the QR code.
You can view the password by clicking Show password in the device section of Corporate App Catalog.
The device will appear in the list of managed devices in Kaspersky Security Center and in Corporate App Catalog.
