Event settings

for Windows, macOS, and Linux

This section lets you configure notifications about events on managed devices and general events. The notifications can be sent to email addresses of users in this workspace.

While the application is working, various events occur. They can be either be purely informational or contain critical information. For example, the application can use an event to notify about a successful database update or point out an error of a component that needs to be fixed.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security events can fall into the following severity classes:

• Critical events pose a serious threat to the security of the computer (detection of malicious objects, vulnerabilities, Kaspersky Endpoint Security problems). Critical events require your immediate attention. We recommend never turning off notifications about critical events.
• Functional failures are events that occur when Kaspersky Endpoint Security malfunctions (processing error, task settings error). Such events do not directly threaten the security of the computer, but they require your intervention to make sure Kaspersky Endpoint Security is working correctly and protecting your devices.
• Warnings do not require immediate action on your part, but may indicate future threats to the security of the computer.
• Informational messages.

Regardless of whether notifications are enabled or disabled, Kaspersky Endpoint Security records information about all application events in the application reports.

For each Kaspersky Endpoint Security event, you can configure how you want to get notifications:

• Windows Notify by email
• Windows Save in local report
• Windows macOS Notify on screen.
• Windows Linux Save to system event log.
