SVM connection tag

for Windows and Linux

Multiple Light Agents can connect to an SVM. To balance the Light Agent connections, you can specify a separate list of SVMs in the SVM discovery settings section. If you are using an Integration server for SVM discovery, you can use tags to balance Light Agent connections to SVMs. That is, for a Light Agent, you can assign a list of SVMs for connecting using a tag. To do so, you must assign a tag to the Light Agent and specify this tag in SVM settings. For details about specifying tags in SVM settings, see the Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent Help.

Example: The Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum solution is deployed in your infrastructure for designated virtual machine hosts. In this case, you can assign the [EDROptimum] tag to the Light Agent to make it connect to the SVMs that has the EDR Optimum (EDR Optimum Add-on) license key added. As a result, you can use EDR Optimum functionality on the virtual machine with the Light Agent. When connecting the Light Agent to an SVM without an EDR Optimum license key, Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum functionality is unavailable.

Select the Use connection tag check box to connect Light Agents to SVMs using tags. Enter SVM connection tag. For a tag, you can enter a text string up to 255 characters long. You can use any character except the ; character.
