	Protecting dump files and trace files 
Dump files and trace files contain information about the operating system, and may also contain user data . To prevent unauthorized access to such data, you can enable protection of dump files and trace files.
If protection of dump files and trace files is enabled, the files can be accessed by the following users:
Dump files can be accessed by the system administrator and local administrator, and by the user that enabled the writing of dump files and trace files. Trace files can be accessed only by the system administrator and local administrator. How to enable protection of dump files and trace files in the Administration Console (MMC) 
Open the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console. In the console tree, select Policies  . Select the necessary policy and double-click to open the policy properties. In the policy window, select General settings   → Application settings  . In the Debug information   block, click the Settings   button. In the window that opens, use the Enable dump and trace files protection   check box to enable or disable file protection. Save your changes. In the main window of the Web Console, select Assets (Devices)   → Policies & profiles  . Click the name of the Kaspersky Endpoint Security policy.The policy properties window opens.
 Select the Application settings   tab. Go to General settings   → Application Settings  .

 In the Debug information   block, use the Enable dump and trace files protection   check box to enable or disable file protection. Save your changes. How to enable protection of dump files and trace files in the application interface 
In the main application window , click the   button. In the application settings window, select General settings   → Application settings  .

 In the Debug information   block, use the Enable dump and trace files protection   check box to enable or disable file protection. Save your changes. Dump files and trace files that were written while protection was active remain protected even after this function is disabled.
