The Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent solution requires continuous communication of the Light Agent and SVM. This is necessary to scan files sent by the Light Agent for viruses and other malware. Without an SVM connection, the Light Agent cannot send files for scanning, If the connection cannot be established for over five minutes, the scan finishes with an error.
Connecting a Light Agent to an SVM involves the following steps:
You can get information about the status of the Light Agent's connection to the SVM in the Kaspersky Endpoint Security or using the application command. The application generates an event whenever the Light Agent's SVM connection is lost or established, and sends these events to Kaspersky Security Center. If you are using an Integration Server for SVM discovery, you can get information about the status of the SVM and the number of connected Light Agents in the Integration Server Console. For details about SVM status monitoring, see the Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent Help.
