Managing security audit jobs

With Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks, you can conduct a security audit of the monitored devices. Security audit is performed by running the jobs created for the selected devices. Security audit jobs can be of the following types:

• Vulnerability and compliance audit.

  Vulnerability and compliance audit jobs let you assess device compliance with security standards and perform other checks (for example, search for vulnerabilities or detect installed software on devices).

• Configuration control.

  Configuration control jobs let you receive and save in the application detailed information about device configurations, as well as to use the application for comparing changes in device configurations.

• Active polling.

  Active polling jobs allow you to get the most accurate and complete information about the devices and their configurations directly from the devices themselves.

Only users with the Administrator role can manage security audit jobs.

When using the security audit function, take into account the following special considerations and limitations:

• This functionality is available after a license key is added.
• Nodes that have the application components installed and are used for device scans within security audit jobs must have network access to devices to send and receive data. To provide network access to devices, the node computer must have a network interface providing a connection of these devices to the network. Network interfaces of monitoring points cannot be used for this purpose if these network interfaces receive mirrored industrial network traffic (for example, from SPAN ports of network switches).
