Kaspersky app uses anti-virus databases when searching for malware. The app's anti-virus databases contain descriptions of malware currently known to Kaspersky, information on how to neutralize it, and descriptions of other malicious objects.
To update the app's anti-virus databases, your device must be connected to the internet.
To start an update of anti-virus databases on the device:
On the main screen of Kaspersky app, tap All features.
Swipe up and tap Update antivirus databases.
If you have a subscription for Kaspersky app, you can set a schedule for anti-virus database autoupdates.
In the main window of the Kaspersky app for Android, tap Automatic Anti-Virus.
Tap Databases update.
Select the Update mode:
Smart mode: The databases will be updated automatically every night if the battery charge of your device is over 20%.
Individual mode: The databases will be updated accordingly to a schedule you set.
Manual mode: The databases will not be updated automatically. Instead, you can update them manually.
If you select Smart mode, you can turn on Update only over Wi-Fi setting.
If you select Individual mode, you can specify how often you want the databases to be updated by selecting Frequency: Weekly or Daily.
To specify the day to update the databases (if you selected the Weekly frequency), tap Start day and select a day.
To specify the time to update the databases, tap Start time and set a time.
