The extension is installed. Configure your browser for the extension to work properly.

Before start working with the extension, you should perform the steps described below, depending on the browser that you are using: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera (Opera GX), Vivaldi, Brave or Comodo Dragon.

Step 1. Pin the extension icon for easy access to extension functions

The extension icon is pinned by default in Yandex.Browser and Vivaldi. If you use another chromium-based browser, manually pin it for quick access.

To pin the extension icon:

  1. Open the browser and click the Extensions button on the toolbar A puzzle piece-shaped icon.

  2. Pin the extension by clicking the pin icon .

Step 2. Turn off a browser's built-in autofill feature so that Kaspersky Password Manager can correctly autofill passwords

Kaspersky Password Manager cannot automatically turn off the built-in password manager in browsers. Please manually turn off the autosave and autofill settings in your browser to avoid performance issues in the Kaspersky Password Manager extension.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Go to Settings, and select Autofill in the left menu.
  3. Turn off the following options:
    • Go to the Password Manager section and disable the Offer to save passwords option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for passwords.
    • Go to the Payment methods section and disable the Save and fill payment methods option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for payment methods.
    • Go to the Addresses and more section and disable the Save and fill addresses option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for addresses.

Microsoft Edge icon Turn off the autosave and autofill settings in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Go to Settings, and select Profiles in the left menu.
  3. Turn off the following options:
    • Go to the Password Manager section and disable the Automatically save passwords option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for passwords.
    • Go to the Payment info section and disable the Save and fill payment info option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for payment methods.
    • Go to the Personal info section and disable the Save and fill basic info and Save and fill custom info option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for addresses.

  1. Open Opera.
  2. Go to Settings, and select Basic in the left menu.
  3. Scroll down and turn off the following options:
    • Go to the Autofill and passwords section, select Password Manager and disable the Offer to save passwords option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for passwords.
    • Go to the Autofill and passwords section, select Payment methods and disable the Fills in payment forms with your saved payment methods option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for payment methods.
    • Go to the Autofill and passwords section, select Addresses and more and disable the Save and fill addresses option to turn off the browser's built-in autosave and autofill for addresses.

Follow similar steps to turn of autosave and autofill features in Vivaldi, Brave and Comodo Dragon. For details, refer the product documentation for these browsers.
