Your accounts are at greater risk if they have the same or weak passwords (for example, qwerty, 12345) or passwords based on information that can be easily guessed or obtained (for example, names of relatives or dates of birth). The Password Check section contains a list of problems with passwords detected by Kaspersky Password Manager. Passwords are sorted by the severity of the problems detected:
- Compromised - there are some other users around the world who use the same password and their accounts protected by this password have been hacked.
- Weak - too easy to hack. Try to add special symbols, uppercases, numbers in order to strengthen the password or use the Password Generator.
- Duplicate - used by you to protect several accounts.
- Strong - unique, not compromised and safe to use.
- Not checked - checking is disabled for these passwords.
You can delete weak or unnecessary passwords from the Password Check section by clicking the delete button . In this case, the set of account credentials (login and password) will be completely deleted from the entry, not only from the Password Check page. If an entry contains only one set of credentials, the entry is also deleted. If an entry contains several sets of credentials, only the selected credentials are deleted from the entry.
