Password Generator

Clicking the circle arrows button generates a new password that matches the specified settings.

Clicking this button copies the generated password to the clipboard. You can view the last five copied passwords on the Password history tab in the Password Generator window.

This option adds passwords to the vault. When this option is turned on and you copy a password, you will be prompted to create a new account with that password.

On the Settings tab, you can specify password generation parameters.

On the Default tab, you can change password generation parameters but cannot save them. When you switch the tab or close the Password Generator window, the parameters are reset to default.

By default, all check boxes are selected.

On the Custom tab, your changes to password generation parameters are saved even if you close the Password Generator window.

A spin box for specifying the number of characters to be used when generating password.

The default password length is 16 characters. The maximum password length is 99 characters.

This check box enables/disables the use of uppercase letters during password generation.

If the check box is selected, the Password Generator uses uppercase letters when generating passwords. If the check box is cleared, the Password Generator generates passwords without uppercase letters.

By default, this check box is selected.

This check box enables/disables the use of lowercase letters during password generation.

If the check box is selected, the Password Generator uses lowercase letters when generating passwords. If the check box is cleared, the Password Generator generates passwords without lowercase letters.

By default, this check box is selected.

This check box enables/disables the use of numerals during password generation.

If the check box is selected, the Password Generator uses numerals when generating passwords. If the check box is cleared, the Password Generator generates passwords without numerals.

By default, this check box is selected.

This check box enables/disables the use of special characters during password generation.

If the check box is selected, the Password Generator uses special characters when generating passwords. If the check box is cleared, the Password Generator generates passwords without special characters.

The field next to the check box contains the special characters used during password generation. You can add and delete only allowed characters in the field.

By default, this check box is selected.

This tab contains a list of your most recently generated and copied passwords.

If you want to copy a password to the clipboard, click the copy button next to the password. This button is available, if you have copied generated passwords to the clipboard.

If you want to clear the Password Generator history, click Clear all.
