Exporting template

You can export a template to your hard drive as a .tar archive. For example, it may be useful if you want to save a current state of the template locally. You can import the template to Kaspersky Research Sandbox later.

You can export only shutdown virtual machines in Ready state.

Custom environments based on a template will not be exported. After importing the template back to Kaspersky Research Sandbox, you have to deploy custom environments.

To export a template:

  1. On the Templates & Storage page, select the Templates tab.
  2. In the Actions column, click Three dots. and in the drop-down list select Export by the template that you want to export.

The template exporting starts. By default, the archive file is saved as <template title>.tar. You can change the file name later, if necessary.

Since template size is usually large (up to several gigabytes), the export process may be time consuming. While the .tar archive is being prepared for downloading, no action can be performed to the template, and corresponding buttons and links are unavailable.

During a template preparation for downloading, exporting is not available for all templates for all Kaspersky Research Sandbox users, and the Export links are also not available.
