About Kaspersky Thin Client
Kaspersky Thin Client version 2.3 (hereinafter also referred to as "the system") is a Cyber Immune microkernel operating system for thin clients based on KasperskyOS. Kaspersky Thin Client is designed to connect to a remote environment and provide a workspace in it, including support for peripheral devices connected to the thin client. Kaspersky Thin Client 2.3 can be installed on Dell™ Wyse 3040, Centerm F620, and TONK TN1200 thin clients.
This document does not provide an overview of thin client hardware components, such as controls and connectors, as this information is available in the vendor documentation for the device where Kaspersky Thin Client is installed.
Core functions of Kaspersky Thin Client:
- Connecting to a remote environment.
- Connect to remote and virtual desktops running Microsoft® Windows® operating systems via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), and by using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Broker.
- Connect to terminal servers running Microsoft Windows Server® operating systems via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), and by using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Broker.
- Connect to remote and virtual desktops running Linux® operating systems via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
- Connect to virtual applications, including those deployed in the Microsoft Remote Desktop Services infrastructure or running Microsoft® Windows® operating systems, via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
- Connect to virtual desktops deployed in the Basis.WorkPlace infrastructure.
- Connect to virtual desktops deployed in Citrix Workspace™ or VMware Horizon infrastructures.
- Transmit remote environment screen images to monitors connected to a thin client.
- Redirect a keyboard and mouse connected to a thin client to a remote environment.
- Redirect the following devices connected to the thin client to a remote environment:
- Wired and wireless keyboards and mice
- USB drives
- Audio playback and recording devices (USB headsets)
- Webcams
- Smart cards and tokens
- Printing and scanning devices: printers, scanners (including QR code and barcode scanners)
- Centrally manage, update, and monitor Kaspersky Thin Client via the Kaspersky Security Center Web Console. The Kaspersky Security Management Suite web plug-in is used for communication between Kaspersky Thin Client and Kaspersky Security Center.
Kaspersky Thin Client 2.3 supports Kaspersky Security Center Linux version 15.3 and Kaspersky Security Center Web Console version 15.3.
Kaspersky Thin Client 2.3 supports the following interface languages: Russian, English (USA), Spanish (Mexico), and Portuguese (Brazil).
