About the Kaspersky Security Management Suite web plug-in

The Kaspersky Security Management Suite web plug-in (hereinafter also referred to as "the web plug-in") is a specialized component that provides the capability to manage the operation of Kaspersky Thin Client via the Kaspersky Security Center Web Console.

The web plug-in lets you centrally perform the following operations:

• Manage Kaspersky Thin Client settings for one or more thin clients in an administration group.

  A set of devices managed by Kaspersky Security Center and grouped by function. Devices are grouped for easy management as a whole. A group may include other groups. For each device added to the group, you can create group policies and group tasks that will apply to all devices in the group.

• Configure receipt of Kaspersky Thin Client events and view them.
• Manage security certificates of Kaspersky Thin Client.

To enable interaction between Kaspersky Thin Client and Kaspersky Security Center, the following conditions must be met:

• Specify the Kaspersky Security Center connection settings when configuring Kaspersky Thin Client.
• Install the Kaspersky Security Management Suite web plug-in in Kaspersky Security Center.

To ensure stable operation of system functions and access to all of its capabilities, the major versions of the web plug-in of Kaspersky Security Management Suite and Kaspersky Thin Client must match.
