Connecting to a remote environment using the Web Access application

Using the Web Access application, you can connect to a remote environment deployed in Citrix Workspace and VMware Horizon infrastructures. Web Access supports HTML5 and provides a secure HTTPS connection when connecting.

Any data required for remote sessions, such as cookie files, will be retained on the thin client until the remote session is closed. After that, the data will be deleted.

To connect to a remote environment using the Web Access application:

  1. Turn on Kaspersky Thin Client.
  2. On the Kaspersky Thin Client desktop, click the Web Access button.
  3. In the connection window that opens, provide the required remote environment server address in the Server field.
  4. Press Enter or click Connect.

If you are connecting to a remote environment for the first time in the Kaspersky Thin Client interface and the thin client is in one of the following states:

    • not connected to Kaspersky Security Center
    • not added to the administration group
    • no certificates for connecting to the remote environment have been added for the administration group to which the thin client belongs

then you will see a window prompting you to add a certificate to connect to the remote environment.

Check the certificate settings and click the Add certificate button. The certificate will be added to the system certificate store of Kaspersky Thin Client and will be used for subsequent connections.

The connection data input window is displayed.

  5. Enter the user name and password for connecting to the remote environment.

The system does not save the credentials for connecting to a remote environment deployed in a Citrix Workspace infrastructure, therefore you must enter them every time you start a remote session.

If one remote desktop is available to you, it will be displayed on the screen and you can start working in the remote environment. If several remote desktops are available to you, you will see a window containing a list of them.

  6. To refresh the list of remote desktops, click the Reload button.
  7. Click the button with the name of the remote desktop to which you want to connect.

A window of the remote environment you are connected to will appear. A remote session will start.
