Adding a license key to the program web interface

You can add an application license key in the KUMA web interface. If you use a key file to activate the application, two license keys, active and reserve, may be present. If you use an activation code, there is only one license key. In KUMA, a group of an active and a reserve license keys or one activation code is called a license group. Accordingly, you can add a license group using two key files or using an activation code.

If multiple license groups are added to an instance of KUMA, the active license keys of all license groups are automatically merged. As a result, a merged license is created that has the following properties:

• The Available EPS values of all active license keys are added together. The resulting EPS value is specified in the merged license and becomes available to all tenants.

  If any license key included in the merged license expires, the EPS limit value of that license key is automatically subtracted from the total EPS limit of the merged license. Accordingly, when a new active license key is added to the merged license, the EPS limit value of that license key is automatically added to the total EPS limit.

• The set of modules available in tenant licenses must be the same. If a license contains a module that is not available in the other licenses, this module is not available in the merged license. Accordingly, such a module is not available to any of the tenants.

  The same rule applies when adding new license keys to the merged license. If a module is available in the new license key, but is not available in the merged license, this module does not become available under the merged license. If a module that is available in the merged license is not available in the new license key, this module will become unavailable under the merged license. When adding a license key with a mismatched set of modules, KUMA displays a warning and adds such a license key only after your confirmation.

• A merged license can include up to 50 active keys.

Only users with the Administrator role can add a license key.

Adding a new license group

To add a new license group:

1. Open the KUMA web interface and select Settings → Other → License.

   This opens a window with a list of added license groups.

2. Click Add license group.
3. This opens a window; in that window, enter a name for the new license group.
4. Select the method for adding the license key:
   • Using an activation code.
     1. Enter the activation code.
     2. If your company uses a proxy server to connect to the internet, enter proxy server information. An internet connection is required to activate the application.
   • Using a key file.
     1. In the Active license key section, click the Upload button, then select the key file (file with the KEY extension).
     2. In the Reserve license key section, add the reserve license key in the same way.
5. Click the Activate button.

The license group is added to the list, and the application is activated.

Adding a reserve license key

To add a reserve license key to a license group:

1. Open the KUMA web interface and select Settings → Other → License.

   This opens a window with a list of added license groups.

2. Click the name of the license group to which you want to add the reserve license key.
3. This opens a window; in that window, in the Reserve license key section, click the Upload button, then select the key file (file with the KEY extension).
4. Click the Activate button.

Replacing the active license key

If you want to add an active license key instead of the key that has already been added, delete the current license key first. Then add the new license key.
