Configuring receipt of HAProxy events

KUMA allows monitoring HAProxy (version 2.4) load balancer events in HTTP, TCP, HTTP CLF, Default, HTTPS (for version 2.6 and later), TCP CLF (for version 3.2 and later) formats received via the syslog protocol.

Configuring the receipt of HAProxy events involves the following steps:

  1. Configuring export of HAProxy events
  2. Creating a KUMA collector for HAProxy events

To receive HAProxy events, in the Collector Installation Wizard, at the Event parsing step, select the [OOTB] HAProxy syslog normalizer, and at the Transport step, select the udp connector type.

  3. Installing a collector in a KUMA network infrastructure
  4. Verifying receipt of HAProxy events in the KUMA collector

You can verify that the receipt of events from HAProxy is configured correctly by searching for related events in the KUMA web interface.
