Configuring the export of Veeam Backup & Replication events

Event export must be configure as under an account with administrator rights.

To configure the export of Veeam Backup & Replication events via syslog:

1. In the Veeam Backup & Replication web interface, open the Options → Event forwarding section.
2. In the Syslog servers section, click Add.
3. In the Server field, specify the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or IPv4 address of the KUMA collector server. You cannot specify an IPv6 address in this field.
4. In the Port field, specify the port that the KUMA collector is listening on.

   By default, the Veeam Backup & Replication system sends events to the following ports, depending on the protocol used:

   • 514 for TCP and UDP
   • 6514 for TLS
5. In the Transport drop-down list, select a protocol: TCP, UDP, or TLS.
6. Click OK.

Event forwarding from Veeam Backup & Replication to the KUMA collector is configured.
