Kaspersky uses anti-virus databases when searching for malware. The app's anti-virus databases contain descriptions of malware currently known to Kaspersky, information on how to neutralize it, and descriptions of other malicious objects.
To update the app's anti-virus databases, your device must be connected to the Internet.
To start an update of anti-virus databases on the device,
On the Kaspersky quick launch panel, tap Update.
If you have a subscription for Kaspersky, you can set a schedule for anti-virus database autoupdates.
In the main window of Kaspersky, tap Automatic Anti-Virus.
Select Update.
Now, tap On schedule and select an option:
Weekly: The databases will be updated automatically once a week on the day and time you select.
Daily: The databases will be updated automatically once a day at the time you select.
Turned off: The databases will not be updated automatically. You will have to update them manually.
To specify the day to update the databases (for weekly updates only), tap Start day and select a day.
To specify the time to update the databases (for daily and weekly updates only), tap Start time and set a time.
We are currently working to improve this feature. The changes are part of the early access to features, which is only available to a small group of users.
