Kaspersky application helps protect your webcam and mic from unauthorized access using the Webcam and Mic Control component. You can block all applications or choose to be notified when an application tries to access these devices. Access rules depend on the application's trust level, and notifications allow you to respond in real time by allowing or denying access.
When notifications are enabled in the component settings, Kaspersky application alerts you whenever an application attempts to access your webcam or mic. The notification includes the following options:
Allow. The application will be added to the list of applications allowed to access the webcam or mic without further notifications.
Block. The application will be added to the list of blocked applications.
If you choose to block the mic or both the camera and mic, you will receive a notification informing that the mic will be blocked the next time the application attempts to connect. To block the mic immediately, click the Force close button that terminates the application process without saving.
To configure access settings, click three dots and then select the Set up Webcam and Mic Control option.
To configure application rules, click three dots and then select the Set up application rules option.
To hide the notification, click the close button.
Available only in Kaspersky Standard, Kaspersky Plus, and Kaspersky Premium.
