What's new in the latest version of the application
The latest version of the application introduces the following new features and improvements:
Introduced the Anti-fingerprinting function that prevents the creation of device fingerprints, helping to block unauthorized data collection, user profiling, and targeted advertising.
We provide proactive, cutting-edge protection by integrating AI technologies. In this version, AI-powered features are visually highlighted.
Added new license statuses for cases when the payment method is invalid or funds are insufficient.
Increased brand visibility across application usage scenarios.
Simplified the subscription purchase flow by adding a special option on the website that sends the purchased activation code directly to the application for easy activation.
Enhanced user experience and optimized license slot usage by relocating the "Share protection" option to the left menu of the main window. The left menu now also displays "Profile" instead of the user's email address to simplify navigation to the user page.
Added an option to log in to the My Kaspersky account using a one-time code sent via email.
A list of devices connected to the same My Kaspersky account as the current product installation is now available in the application interface.
The Unwanted App Installation Blocker function has been removed, as its functionality is now handled by other components within the application.
Simplified the process of sending product logs to Support.
Added support for basic Windows Narrator functionality to enhance accessibility features.
Starting from version 21.18, the application no longer includes the Anti-Spam feature. While the functionality has been removed, our other protection features remain in place to keep your inbox safe from malicious email attachments.
The application has been aligned with the legislative requirements of India.
Added the option to send logs collected with troubleshoot.exe directly through the utility.
Full product pricing can now be displayed directly within the Kaspersky Free interface — no need to visit the website.
A prepaid (non-activated) license can now be added to a previously activated product.
For functions that require Wi-Fi access, we have added notifications to the function cards prompting users to enable Location Services.
The email scanning function has been removed from the scan scope, as another application component provides the necessary protection.
If a secure connection cannot be established during the download of installation files, the application prompts users to enable the latest TLS version in their OS settings and retry.
Safe Money. Refined interface usability for better understanding of protected browser mode.
The free version of the application now includes a scan feature that detects privacy issues and provides suggestions for improving performance. These issues can be resolved with the full version of the application.
Kaspersky Restore Utility. Added an option to decrypt secret vaults created in Kaspersky application.
Improved the text and design of the most frequently displayed notifications to enhance user experience and interaction.
Support for larger sizes of Captcha images.
The interface of the AMSI Protection and Safe Browsing settings has been redesigned to align with the style of the other application windows.
Added an option to postpone Windows sleep mode until the scan is complete.
A new web category has been added to identify websites that fraudsters may use to deceive users online, e.g. websites of financial pyramids, pawn shops and online stores that sell fake or counterfeit goods.
For a clearer confirmation, a "Settings saved" notification now appears after a user changes and saves the application settings.
Added the option to pause the creation of a backup task at any step and save it as a draft. You can resume the task creation at any time later.
We've simplified disk identification in Hard Drive Health Monitor by displaying the partition name on the disk tabs, instead of the disk name and model.
The Battery Saver function now correctly indicates that it is only available for laptops when used on a desktop computer.
