How to speed up computer performance

This functionality is not available on the Kaspersky Basic subscription plan.

After prolonged use of a computer, the operating system may slow down. This slowdown is caused by a large number of excess files and Windows registry errors.

The computer can also be slowed down by applications that run at system startup and significantly slow down the system. You may even have no idea that a specific application is running in the background using up your computer resources.

Try Kaspersky tools and see how fast your computer can be!

To speed up the computer:

  1. Open the main application window of Kaspersky.
  2. Go to the Performance section and use the following tools:
    • Quick Startup. Helps find applications that run at system startup and prevent them from starting automatically.
    • PC Speed-Up. Helps find and delete unused operating system files and fix Windows registry issues.
    • Duplicates. Helps find and delete superfluous copies of files.
    • Large files. Helps find and delete files larger than 100 MB to free disk space.
    • Unused Apps. Helps find applications that you have not run for a long time. Perhaps you will want to remove some of those applications.
    • Current Activity. Lets you see which applications are currently running and how much computer resources they are consuming. You can stop these applications.
