Hardware options

Kaspersky NGFW supports the following hardware platforms:

• KX-100
• KX-100-KB1
• KX-400
• KX-1000
• KX-3500

Kaspersky NGFW supports the following virtual platforms:

• The KVM virtual platform for running the vKX-8 virtual machine included in the distribution kit.
• The VMware ESXi virtual platform for deploying the Kaspersky NGFW solution from the OVA image included in the distribution kit.

Hardware requirements for virtual machine deployment

Minimum hardware requirements for deploying the Kaspersky NGFW virtual machine on KVM:

• CPU microarchitecture: at least Intel Broadwell or compatible
• Virtual CPUs: 8 vCPUs
• RAM: 16 GB
• Free hard disk space: 128 GB

One virtual machine on KVM supports 10 network interfaces.

Software requirements:

• Supported operating systems: Ubuntu 22.04, Astra Linux 1.8.3
• Supported QEMU version: 6.2.0 for a KVM-based virtualization platform
• Supported VMware vSphere version: 6.5 for a virtualization platform based on the VMware ESXi hypervisor
