Deleting security profile groups

To delete a security profile group:

  1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
  2. Select the Objects tab, then select Security profile groups.

The table of security profile groups is displayed. You can use the search and filtering functions in the table to find the profile groups you need.

  3. Select check boxes next to the security profile groups that you want to delete.

You can select one or more profile groups to be deleted. You cannot delete a profile group if it is the default profile or if it is used in security rules.

  4. Click the Delete button in the upper part of the table and confirm deletion.

If at least one of the selected profile groups is used in a security rule or in an unclassified session, you cannot delete the selected profiles. Clear the check box from the group that is used in a security rule to delete the rest of the selected groups, or remove this group from the security rule in which it is used and try again.

A deleted security profile group cannot be restored.

  5. Apply the OSMP policy changes by clicking the Commit and push button.

The selected profile groups are removed from the table.

Deleted security profile group remain applied to the currently open sessions whose traffic had triggered the profile groups before they were deleted. Deleted security profile groups are no longer applied to new sessions.
