Kaspersky NGFW factory reset

If necessary, you can perform a factory reset of Kaspersky NGFW. For example, this may be necessary in the following cases:

• Before selling or reconfiguring the solution
• After misconfiguration or if access to the solution becomes impossible due to incorrect settings
• After testing new configurations

Factory reset is only available through the command line interface.

A factory reset results in the following:

• The current version of the firmware with the default configuration is downloaded.

  The firmware installed on Kaspersky NGFW is not rolled back to the original version that was installed by the manufacturer.

• All data (including database updates) that have been modified since the installation of the current version of the firmware is reset.

Performing a factory reset of Kaspersky NGFW requires restarting the solution.

To perform a factory reset of Kaspersky NGFW:

1. Enter the system factory-reset command.

   If you want to perform a factory reset without a confirmation prompt, use the system factory-reset -force command.

2. When prompted for confirmation, select Yes.

The factory reset of Kaspersky NGFW is completed.
