Subinterfaces are displayed in the table of network interfaces. To view the list of subinterfaces in an interface, expand the row of the parent interface by clicking next to the parent interface. The number of subinterfaces is displayed next to the name of the parent interface. Subinterfaces have a dash in the Type column.
Subinterfaces can be created for physical interfaces as well as aggregated interfaces. Subinterfaces can only be created for interfaces with the data plane role.
You can configure and view subinterfaces in the OSMP console or on the command line using the interface
family of commands. For a description of command families and a link to the complete list of Kaspersky NGFW configuration commands, see the Managing Kaspersky NGFW using the command line document.
When the status of the parent interface changes to Down, the status of its subinterfaces also changes to Down.
