The maximum number of security zones in the list is 1000. When this limit is reached, a warning is displayed.
To create a security zone:
In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
Select the Security zones tab.
This opens the table of security zones.
In the upper part of the workspace, click the Create button.
This opens the security zone creation window.
In the Name field, enter a name for the new security zone.
The name of the security zone must be unique among all security zones.
The maximum length is 128 characters.
If necessary, in the Description field, enter an arbitrary description of the security zone.
The maximum length is 256 characters.
In the Type field, select a zone type: L2 or L3 (OSI layers 2 and 3) depending on the type of interfaces that will be added to the zone. You can add only interfaces of the selected type to the zone.
Click Create.
The new security zone is added to the table of security zones.
Now you can add interfaces to the created security zone and use it as a source or destination in security rules or decryption rules.
