Editing a BGP peer

You can edit a BGP peer in a network template or on a device. A BGP peer edited in a network template is automatically edited on all devices that use this template. You cannot edit a BGP peer that is inherited from a network template on a device.

To edit a BGP peer:

  1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
  2. Edit a BGP peer in one of the following ways:
    • If you want to edit a BGP peer in a network template, in the menu, select the Network templates tab, click the network template, and select the Routing → BGP section.
    • If you want to edit a BGP peer on a device, select the Devices tab, click the device, select the Routing → BGP section, and enable the Override toggle switch.
  3. Open an existing BGP instance by selecting it in the table and clicking the Edit button in the upper part of the table, or create a new BGP instance.
  4. In the settings area of the BGP instance, select the Neighbors tab.

A table of BGP peers is displayed.

  5. In the table, select the BGP peer that you want to edit and click the Edit button in the upper part of the table.
  6. This opens a window; in that window, specify BGP peer settings: For a description of the settings, see the instructions for creating a BGP peer.
  7. Click the Save button.

The BGP peer is modified and updated in the table.

  8. Click the Save button to save the BGP instance settings.
