The following limitations apply when editing network interfaces:
You cannot change the name of a network interface.
You can change the role only for physical interfaces.
You cannot enable override and change the settings of a physical interface that has the dedicated management port role on a device.
You cannot change the protocol for interfaces of the following types:
Interfaces added to the L2 type zone
Interfaces that have subinterfaces
Physical interfaces included in an aggregated interface
Physical interfaces included in an L2 bridge
Subinterfaces of physical and aggregated interfaces
Aggregated interfaces
BVIs
You cannot change the security zone for the following interfaces:
Physical interfaces included in aggregated interfaces
Aggregated interfaces that have subinterfaces
Physical interfaces that have subinterfaces
Interfaces that have the dedicated management port role
Interfaces that are synchronization interfaces in the cluster
You can edit a network interface in a network template or on a Kaspersky NGFW device: A network interface edited in a network template is automatically modified on all devices that use this template.
To edit a network interface:
In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
Edit a network interface in one of the following ways:
If you want to edit a network interface in a device template, in the menu, select the Network templates tab, click the device template, and select the Interfaces section.
If you want to edit a network interface on a Kaspersky NGFW device, select the Devices tab in the menu, click a Kaspersky NGFW device and select the Interfaces section.
The table of network interfaces is displayed.
Do one of the following:
Click the name of the interface.
Select the check box next to the interface that you want to edit. In the upper part of the workspace, click the Edit button.
This opens the network interface editing window.
Make the necessary changes. For a description of the settings, see the instructions for creating a interface.
Click Save.
The selected interface is modified.
Apply the OSMP policy changes by clicking the Commit and push button.
When changing the interface role (dedicated management interface, data plane interface, or synchronization interface), the device is restarted. All network interface settings persist when a Kaspersky NGFW device is restarted.
