Deleting a network interface

The following limitations apply when deleting network interfaces:

• You cannot delete a physical interface in a device card.
• You cannot delete an aggregated interface that is being used in the cluster.
• You cannot delete an interface if it is being used as an OSFP interface.
• You cannot delete an interface if there are dependencies with other entities, for example:
  • Aggregated interface with subinterfaces
  • The interface specified in DHCP relay, including the one added as the interface from which DHCP responses will be expected (the upstream interface)
  • The interface used in the OSPF route
  • Subinterface included in an L2-bridge
  • Interface used in a virtual routing and forwarding table other than Main
  • Interface used in static routes
• A BVI interface is deleted along with the L2 bridge to which it belongs.

You can delete a network interface in a network template or on a Kaspersky NGFW device: A network interface deleted in a network template is automatically deleted on all devices that use this template.

Deleted network interfaces cannot be restored.

To delete a network interface:

1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
2. Delete a network interface in one of the following ways:
   • If you want to delete a network interface in a device template, in the menu, select the Network templates tab, click the device template, and select the Interfaces section.
   • If you want to delete a network interface on a Kaspersky NGFW device, select the Devices tab in the menu, click a Kaspersky NGFW device and select the Interfaces section.

   The table of network interfaces is displayed.

3. Select the check box next to one or more network interfaces that you want to delete.
4. In the upper part of the workspace, click the Delete button.
5. Confirm the deletion.

   The selected network interfaces are deleted.

6. Apply the OSMP policy changes by clicking the Commit and push button.
