Enabling or disabling a network interface

You can enable or disable a network interface in a network template or on a Kaspersky NGFW device: A network interface enabled or disabled in the network template is automatically enabled or disabled on all devices that use this template.

To disable or enable a network interface:

  1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
  2. Enable or disable the network interface in one of the following ways:
    • If you want to enable or disable a network interface in a device template, in the menu, select the Network templates tab, click the device template, and select the Interfaces section.
    • If you want to enable or disable a network interface on a Kaspersky NGFW device, select the Devices tab in the menu, click a Kaspersky NGFW device and select the Interfaces section.

The table of network interfaces is displayed.

  3. In the table of network interfaces, do one of the following:
    • Set the toggle switch in the Status column next to the relevant interface to the Up or Down position.
    • Click the name of the interface to open a window, and in that window, set the Status toggle switch to Up or Down. Click Save.
    • Select the check box next to the relevant interface and click Edit. This opens a window; in that window, set the Status toggle switch to Up or Down. Click Save.
  4. Apply the OSMP policy changes by clicking the Commit and push button.
