Active infection found

If the scan finds an active infection, the application displays a notification (see figure below). The application also starts a countdown for a decision to be made (120 seconds). After completing the decision countdown, Kaspersky Rescue Tool automatically attempts Advanced Disinfection. After completing Advanced Disinfection, Kaspersky Rescue Tool performs an advanced scan.

The advanced scan covers the following objects:

• Scopes of the detected Windows OS:
  • Fileless objects
  • Startup objects
  • System drive
• Boot sectors
• EFI partition

You can disinfect an object without starting an advanced scan. To do so, click Disinfect without advanced scan while the countdown is active.

For disinfecting an active threat, we recommend selecting disinfection with advanced scan.
