About dump files

A dump file contains all information about the working memory of Kaspersky Endpoint Security processes at the time of creating the dump

Dump files may contain personal data. We recommend making sure the information is protected from unauthorized access before sending it to Kaspersky.

No dump files are generated by default. You can enable or disable dumping in case of application failures.

If you enabled dumping, dump files are stored at /var/opt/kaspersky/kesl/common/dumps (dump files of the kesl process) and /var/opt/kaspersky/kesl/common/dumps-user (dump files of user processes). You can specify a different directory for storing the dump files of the kesl process.

To store dump files, the application needs disk space in addition to the disk space listed in minimum hardware requirements.

Root privileges are required to access dump files.

Dump files are stored on the computer as long as the application is in use, and are deleted permanently when the application is removed. Dump files are not sent to Kaspersky automatically.
