Configuring permissions for task management

You can define the following user permissions in Kaspersky Security Center:

Using local tasks created in Kaspersky Endpoint Security. If the Kaspersky Security Center policy prohibits users from viewing and editing local tasks, information about the Scan_My_Computer, Critical_Areas_Scan, Container_Scan, Inventory_Scan, Update (in Standard mode) and Rollback (in Standard mode) tasks is not available.

Configuring in the Web Console

In the Web Console, you can set the permission to view and manage tasks in the policy properties (Application settings → Local Tasks → Task management).

Allow local tasks	This check box allows or blocks the users from viewing local tasks created in Kaspersky Endpoint Security and control of these tasks on the managed client devices. If this check box is selected, users can configure and run tasks in the graphical interface of the application and on the command line. If this check box is cleared, local tasks are not used. Scheduled local tasks do not run. Tasks cannot be run or configured in the graphical interface of the application or on the command line. This check box is cleared by default.
Allow viewing and managing tasks created through KSC	This check box allows or prohibits the users from viewing the tasks created in Kaspersky Security Center and managing these tasks on client devices. If this check box is selected, tasks created in Kaspersky Security Center are displayed in the graphical interface of the application. Users can start and stop these tasks from the graphical interface of the application and from the command line. If this check box is cleared, tasks created in Kaspersky Security Center cannot be viewed or managed in the graphical interface of the application or on the command line. This check box is cleared by default.
