Starting a custom scan and a KATA Sandbox scan

You can run custom scans of files and directories using the graphical interface.

To run a custom scan of a file or directory:

  1. Right-click the file or directory that you want to scan to open the context menu.
  2. Select Kaspersky Endpoint Security 12.3 for Linux as the application for scanning the file or directory.

    Depending on the desktop environment, the names of the context menu commands may differ.

The custom scan task and its progress are displayed in the graphical interface.

If the integration of the Kaspersky Endpoint Security application with the KATA Sandbox component is enabled, you can send a file or directory for scanning to KATA Sandbox using the graphical interface.

To submit a file or directory to KATA Sandbox to be scanned:

  1. Right-click the file or directory that you want to send for scanning to open the context menu.
  2. Select Kaspersky Endpoint Security 12.3 for Linux as the application for scanning the file or directory.

    Depending on the desktop environment, the names of the context menu commands may differ.

  3. In the window that opens, select the Send to KATA Sandbox to be scanned.
