Application icon in the taskbar notification area
Immediately after installation of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, the application icon appears in the Microsoft Windows taskbar notification area.
The icon serves the following purposes:
- It indicates application activity.
- It acts as a shortcut to the context menu and main window of the application.
Indication of application activity
The application icon serves as an indicator of application activity:
- The
icon signifies that all protection components of the application are enabled. - The
icon signifies that important events that require your attention have occurred in the operation of Kaspersky Endpoint Security. For example, File Anti-Virus is disabled or the application databases are out of date. - The
icon signifies that critical events have occurred in the operation of Kaspersky Endpoint Security. For example, a failure in the operation of a component, or corruption of the application databases.
