Manually adding a trusted Wi-Fi network

When manually adding a trusted Wi-Fi network you must manually specify the criteria that Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will use to allow connections to the trusted Wi-Fi network.

To add a Wi-Fi network to the list of trusted Wi-Fi networks, take the following steps:

1. In the Application Console tree, expand the Computer Control node.
2. Select the Wi-Fi Control child node.
3. Click the Properties link in the details pane of the Wi-Fi Control node.

   The Task settings window opens on the General tab.

4. If needed, select the Allow connections to the following Wi-Fi networks check box to allow editing of the list of trusted Wi-Fi networks.
   

   The check box enables or disables use of the list of exclusions for trusted Wi-Fi networks.

   If the check box is selected, then Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will not block Wi-Fi networks added to the list of exclusions. If you had previously specified an exclusion list and select the check box again, then the application automatically applies the latest version of the list.

   If the check box is cleared, then the application blocks connections to all Wi-Fi networks. The exclusion list cannot be edited. The specified exclusion list is ignored, but it is saved in the task settings.

   The check box is selected by default.

5. Click the Add trusted Wi-Fi network button.
6. In the button's context menu, select the Add Wi-Fi network manually option.

   The Wi-Fi network properties window opens.

7. Specify the Wi-Fi network settings that Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will use to allow connections to the trusted Wi-Fi network:
   • In the Wi-Fi network identifier (SSID) field, specify the name of the Wi-Fi network.

     You cannot leave the SSID field empty.

   • Clear or select the Allow only secured Wi-Fi networks check box.
     

     This check box enables or disables the requirement on network encryption when allowing a connection to a Wi-Fi network with the specified SSID.

     If the check box is selected, then Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes only allows connections to Wi-Fi networks with the specified SSID if the connection is encrypted and password protected.

     If the check box is selected, then the application allows connections to all Wi-Fi networks with the specified SSID.

     The check box is selected by default.

8. In the Wi-Fi network properties window, click the OK button.

The specified Wi-Fi network is added to the list of trusted Wi-Fi networks in the Wi-Fi Control task settings. When the task is run, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes allows connections to the Wi-Fi networks that match the specified exception.
