Installing Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes via Kaspersky Security Center

Detailed information about generating an installation package and creating a remote installation task is provided in the Kaspersky Security Center Implementation Guide.

If you intend to manage Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes via Kaspersky Security Center in the future, make sure that the following conditions are met:

Devices can also be combined into an administration group in order to later manage the protection settings using Kaspersky Security Center policies and group tasks.

To install Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes using a remote installation task via Kaspersky Security Center:

  1. In the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console expand the Advanced node.
  2. Expand the Remote installation child node.
  3. In the results pane of the Installation packages child node, click the Create installation package button.
  4. Select the Create installation package for a Kaspersky application installation package type.
  5. Enter the new installation package name.
  6. Specify the kics.kud file from the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes distribution kit \exec folder as the installation package file.

    To create an installation package to install Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes with Kaspersky Endpoint Agent, select the kics.kud file located in the root of the distribution kit folder.

    The End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy window opens.

  7. If you agree to the terms and conditions of End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, select the I confirm that I have fully read, understood, and accept the terms and conditions of this End User License Agreement and I am aware and agree that my data will be handled and transmitted (including to third countries) as described in the Privacy Policy. I confirm that I have fully read and understand the Privacy Policy check boxes in order to proceed with the installation.

    You must accept the License Agreement and the Privacy Policy to proceed.

  8. To change the set of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes components to be installed and the default installation settings in the installation package:
    1. In Kaspersky Security Center, expand the Remote installation node.
    2. In the results pane of the Installation packages child node, open the context menu of the created Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes installation package and select Properties.
    3. In the Properties: <name of installation package> window open the Settings section.
    4. In the Components to install settings group, select the check boxes next to the names of the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes components you want to install.
    5. If necessary, change the run mode for Real-Time File Protection:
      1. Click the button to the right of the Real-Time File Protection check box.
      2. In the Selecting security level window, select the required option from the Security level drop-down list.
    6. To automatically install patches if included in the application distribution kit:
      1. Click About limited warranty.

        The Limited warranty Statement window opens.

      2. Please read the Disclaimer.
      3. If you accept the terms of the Disclaimer, select I confirm that I have fully read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions of this Limited warranty Statement check box.
      4. Click the OK button.
      5. In the installation package settings section, select Automatically install patches check box.
    7. In order to indicate a destination folder other than the default one, specify the folder name and path in the Destination folder field.

      The path to the destination folder may contain system environment variables. If the folder does not exist on the protected device, it will be created.

    8. In the Advanced installation settings group, configure the following settings:
      • Scan protected device for viruses before installation.
      • Enable real-time protection after installation of application.
      • Add Microsoft recommended files to exclusions list.
      • Add Kaspersky recommended files to exclusions list.
      • Make KSC Agent use less resources.
      • Perform the recommended action during the scan at OS startup.
    9. To import Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes settings from an existing configuration file created in a compatible earlier version of the application, specify the path to the configuration file in the Configuration file field.
    10. If required, in the Configuration file of industrial software exceptions in the trusted zone field, select an industrial application exclusion profile: an XML set of configuration rules for adding industrial application processes and files to lists of trusted processes and exclusions, and for configuring Applications Launch Control rules and settings.
    11. In the Properties: <name of installation package> window, click OK.

    In the properties of the installation package created for installing Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes with Kaspersky Endpoint Agent, under License key, you can add a license key for the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes application only. To activate Kaspersky Endpoint Agent, you must separately create and run an Activation of the Application task.

  9. In the Installation packages node create a task to remotely install Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes on the selected protected devices (administration group). Configure the task settings.

  10. Run the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes remote installation task.

Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will be installed on the protected devices specified in the task.
