Configuring a connection with Kaspersky Security Center

To configure a connection to Kaspersky Security Center:

  1. In the Start menu of Microsoft Windows select All applications > Kaspersky Security Gateway > Kaspersky Security Gateway Console.

The Kaspersky Security Gateway window opens.

You can also open the Console by clicking the Kaspersky Security Gateway option in the menu of the Kaspersky Security Gateway Tray Icon.

  2. Select the Kaspersky Security Gateway node.
  3. In the Connection Settings section of the results pane, click the Configure connection link.

The Connection settings window is displayed.

  4. Under Kaspersky Security Center, specify the following settings for connecting to the Kaspersky Security Center Administration server:
    • Server name and Port number. Name of the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server and the number of the port used to connect to it. Specify in server:port format. Range of possible values for the port number: 1–65535.
      • For the Klakaut data provider, the default port number is 13291.
      • For the Open API data provider, the default port number is 13299.
    • User name. Account name of the administrator of the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server.
    • Password. Account password of the administrator of the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server.

When you use the Klakaut service as a data provider, you need to install the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console on the same computer where Kaspersky Security Gateway is installed. The Klakaut is the Kaspersky Security Center Automation utility, which lets you manage and monitor the Kaspersky Security Center server via the external API using COM (Component Object Model) objects. If you selected the Open API interface as a data provider, you need to install the Kaspersky Security Center certificate (klserver.cer) on the computer. Please, refer to the Kaspersky Security Center Help for detailed information about Kaspersky Security Center configuration.

  5. Click the Test connection button.

The status Connected appears when the connection is established.

  6. Click the OK button.
  7. Click the OK button to exit to the Kaspersky Security Gateway window.

You can also configure connection settings using the ConnectionSettings.xml configuration file located in the C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\Security Gateway\Settings folder. Note that you cannot set the password in the configuration file. Use Kaspersky Security Gateway Console to set the password.
