Modifying the set of components and repairing Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes

Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes components can be added or removed. You need to stop the Real-Time File Protection task before you can remove the Real-Time File Protection component. In other circumstances there is no need to stop the Real-Time File Protection task or Kaspersky Security Service.

If application management is password protected, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes requests the password when you attempt to remove components or modify the set of components in the Setup Wizard.

To modify the set of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes components:

  1. In the Windows Control Panel, select Apps & features. The Modify or Remove window opens.
  2. Right-click Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes and select Edit.

    This opens the Setup Wizard Modify, repair, or remove application.

  3. Select Modify.

    The Custom installation window opens. Select Full functionality and click Next.

  4. In the Custom installation window, in the list of available components, select the components that you want to add or remove from Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes. To do this, perform the following actions:
    • To change the set of components, click the button next to the name of the selected component. Then in the context menu, select:
      • Feature will be installed on the local hard drive, if you want to install one component;
      • Entire feature and its subfeatures will be installed on local hard drive, if you want to install the group of components;
    • To remove previously installed components, click the button next to the name of the selected component. In the context menu, select Feature will be unavailable.

    Click Next.

  5. In the Ready to install window, confirm the selection of application components by clicking Install.
  6. In the window that opens when installation is complete, click the Finish button.

The set of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes components will be modified based on the specified settings.

If problems occur during the operation of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes (Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes crashes; tasks crash or do not start), you can perform a repair for Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes. You can perform a repair while saving the current Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes settings, or you can select an option to reset all Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes settings to their default values.

To repair Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes after the application or a task crashes:

  1. In the Windows Control Panel, select Apps & features. The Modify or Remove window opens.
  2. Right-click Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes and select Edit.
  3. This opens the Setup Wizard Modify, repair, or remove application.
  4. Select the Repair option.

    The Repair Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes window opens. Click Next.

  5. Wait until the restore operation completes and in the window that opens click Finish.

Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will be repaired using the specified settings.
